Question: Have You Ever Been Hypnotized (I know it’s been asked before)?
I’d love to be hypnotized but I am very, very skeptical.
I’m not talking about crappy “hypnotherapy” – that’s boring – but I am interested in “stage-hypnosis” type effects. Stage-hypnosis looks very fake to me but I’ve read some answers on Yahoo from people who claim to have gone up on stage and not been able to remember what happened, some saying that they weren’t sure they had even been up on stage until their friends told them about the crazy things they did.

Is it all just BS? I hope not. Please tell me about your experiences if you have had any.

Yes I’ve been hypnotized and that stage stuff is crap!!!! You will not do any thing under hypnosis that you wouldn’t do if you weren’t. Also You know when you’re hypnotized it’s not like sleep walking, or something like that. Hypnosis is just a way of getting you to relax and to let your sub conscience to the for front. So that you can either accept an idea like losing weight or to stop smoking or deal with very difficult feelings that you’ve hidden from yourself because they hurt to much.

For more information about rapid inductions and hypnosis classes… Join my (free)Newsletter here: www.KC2XL.com Visit my website here www.paradoxhypnosis.com This is a rapid induction demonstration using street hypnosis techniques, which I teach in New York, New Jersey and through out the US. In this video I hypnotized a bodybuilder while visiting a gym in California. I had hypnotized one of the gyms front desk attendants the day before (after I had finished my workout). When I returned to the gym the next day, I found that many people had been talking about my impromptu hypnotism demonstration. The instant I entered the gym, several people approached me to ask me about hypnosis and hypnotherapy. As I discussed hypnotism and the induction methods of various hypnotists such as Erickson and Elman, I noticed a bodybuilder standing just a few feet away. He was straining to listen to our conversation. Based on his obvious interest, I immediately offered him the opportunity to be hypnotized, which he accepted eagerly. So, I got my camera out of my gym bag, and asked one of the bystanders to film my interaction with Joe, the bodybuilder, who I hypnotized by rapid induction, in front of several of the people who had been asking me questions about hypnosis techniques and how to learn hypnosis (you see them at the end of the video standing nearby, clapping). Near the end of my impromptu hypnosis demonstration, I gave Joe a few helpful hypnotic suggestions about sports performance

This is why we must support the Egyptian people in the current struggles. If not, they will very likely hypnotise us and make us breakdance.

Question: When someone is “hypnotized” in a hypnotist show, are they really hypnotized?
Or are they acting? I recently had grad night for me and it was at GameWorks. They had a hypnosis show and they had volunteers from some of my fellow grads (like me) and they were “hypnotized.” However I couldn’t tell if the stuff they were doing was part of the “hypnosis” or if they were acting.

For example the hypnotist would say there is an earthquake, and they would like shake like if there really was. Even though there really wasn’t any. Or he would say it smells really bad and they would each cover their noses with a disgust in their face. It was cool haha.

I was hypnotized at a county fair once. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but it’s fake. The whole thing is just audience members entertaining audience members. The hypnotist tests your “hypnotizing ability” at the beginning of the show, which basically just weeds out the unwilling participants, people who wont act. The point is to find the “fun ones” that like the attention and the novelty of being able to do these absurd things and not having to take any personal respobsibility for them. The hypnotist needs these kind of people in order to make a good show (and for them not to tell). Then the hypnotist tells you exactly what to do and you do it. He will say or demonstrate something and the volunteers follow suit. Some people claim that they really were hypnotized. These people are most likely lieing for the effect or very easily suggestible. Either way, hypnotism isnt legitimate. But it’s entertainment and whats wrong with that?
